FIRE SERVICE TENT AT THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR
Friday, August 9 - Sunday, August 18, 2024
Interested in volunteering and supporting fire safety and burn prevention education? Join members of the Illinois Fire Services Association at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield. The Fire Service Tent allows kids and adults to climb on fire engines and wander through the grand fire service tent to stop at various stations and receive educational material and play interactive games involving fire safety and burn prevention.

Invite your family and friends - they're welcome too! This is a great community service opportunity for Explorers, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other youth groups.

FIRE SERVICE TENT
Each year, hundreds of volunteers join members of the Illinois Fire Services Association to manage the Fire Service Tent and provide fire prevention education to fair-goers at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois.
PREVENTION THROUGH EDUCATION
The tent and Illinois Fire Museum provide opportunities for kids and adults to climb on fire engines and wonder through the "hazard house" while also receiving educational materials on fire safety through various stations and activities.
